What I got in my Beautylish Lucky Bag 2018

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2018

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2018
I was so excited to receive my Beautylish Lucky Bag! I continuously tracked where my parcel was for days before it arrived.  To those of you that don't know, Beautylish's Lucky Bag is $75 plus shipping (this is the regular sized edition, there is also a XL version but this does not ship to the UK where I reside).  This is my first ever year to purchase the Lucky Bag. When purchasing the lucky bag you have no idea what you will receive but that just makes it even more exciting!  The lucky bags go on sale on Boxing day and I received my lucky bag on the 15th of January.

What I received in my Lucky Bag?

Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Nathan - (RRP $18 on Beautylish/£16 on BeautyBay)

Jeffree Star - Nathan Liquid LipTo those who know me, you will know how much I LOVE Jeffree Star's Liquid Lipsticks.  This will be the 11th that I have purchased.  I do not own this one yet so that makes it even better.  Jeffree Star's formula is one of the longest lasting that I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot).  The colour is not one that I would have chosen for myself but I am actually very impressed with it, especially as I am pretty pale just now.
Wayne Goss - The Brow Set - (RRP $55. Exclusive to Beautylish)

Wayne Goss - Brow setAre these brushes nice? Yes. Will I ever use them? No. I have pretty thin eyebrows in general so I prefer to use my ABH brush in No 12.  The ABH brush gives me the definition I need in my brows.  The Wayne Goss set would maybe be more appropriate for males or females that have larger or bushier eyebrows, which I unfortunately do not have.
Jouer Cosmetics - Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows - (RRP $40 on Beautylish/ £35 on BeautyBay)

Jouer - Skinny Dip palette WOW. These shadows are pigmented.  I would have never have thought to purchase this product, as to be honest I have not heard much hype about it.  When I opened the box and saw the palette I will admit I was not too sure whether I would like it or not, but I LOVE it.  I usually use one of my smaller Morphe palettes for my shimmers but this palette will now be my go to.
Becca - Après Ski Glow Face Palette - (RRP $54 on Beautylish/ £54 on Space NK)

Becca - Après Ski Glow Face Palette & Jouer - Skinny Dip I was so excited when I seen this! I already have Champagne Pop, which was Jaclyn Hill's collaboration with Becca Cosmetics.  I love Champagne pop, the only downfall was the fact that the highlighter broke into a million pieces and I had to squish it back together.  I have now come to realise that this was a known fault with that particular highlighter.  Now back to the palette, the colours are AMAZING and I will probably use all of them.  It will come in handy when I go on holiday later this year as I can take this instead of a separate blusher, bronzer and highlighter.  I am like a child at Christmas with this palette and packaging is the most beautiful packaging I have ever seen.

The Ordinary - High Adherence Silicone Primer - (RRP $4.90 on Beautylish/ £3.90 on Cult Beauty)

The Ordinary - High Adherence Silicone Primer
I had recently came across this primer online and had not yet purchased so I am so excited to see if it works for my oily-combo skin.  I really hope it does as I am so sick of spending all my money on primers that just make my foundation slide off my face.  The other up-side is that if it does work then it will be really cheap to re-purchase.
Clean Apothecary - Brush Shampoo in Rose - (RRP $15 on Beautylish)

Brush cleaner, Liquid lips & The Ordinary primerClean apothecary - Brush shampooTo be honest I was not too excited about this when I opened my packaging.  I had literally just washed my brushes the night before so I have not had a chance to use it yet.  I thought when I opened it that it was smell like perfume but in fact, it smell like wine.  I do not really like the smell of it but it will not stop me using it.

Would I repurchase the Beautylish Lucky Bag again?

Yes, I definitely would!

All items from my Beautylish Lucky bagI paid $75 (this is not including the postage) and I received $186.90, so I would say that it is really worth the money.  The only product that I probably won't use is the Wayne Goss - Brow set, so only having one out of 6 products that I won't use is pretty good. PLUS, everyone loves a surprise!!!

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation - Review

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation Packaging Foundation Wear Test  I had been wanting to try the Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation since its release but I thought I would wait until the hype died down before deciding whether to purchase.  I purchase the foundation off of Cult Beauty where it is £32.  The colour I matched myself to is Chai, which is a really good match for my fake tan. Packaging The packaging is really nice and looks professional.  It is bulkier than Mac and Estee Lauder foundation but that does not bother me too much.  The packaging looks glass but is actually a thicker plastic but that is also fine with me as I usually drop things.  And the best thing is that it has a PUMP!! Application  I used a Beauty Blender to apply this foundation and it gave it a flawless finish.  I feel like using a brush may make this foundation more cakey than it needs to be.  Two pumps is enough to do my whole face (a little goes a l...

My Top Products of 2017

2017 was a great year for me, but not for my bank account. Whoops! Here are my top beauty products of 2017 in no particular order: Cover FX - Custom Enhancer Drops - Candlelight Even though these may seem pretty pricey to some, they last a very long time.  Currently I mix these with my foundation or apply before my foundation to give me a nice glow. Mac - Highlight - Double Gleam This highlighter goes with every look and looks awesome on the brow bone. Physicians Formula - Butter Bronzer - Light This is easily the best bronzer that I have ever tried. I'm very pale at the moment so the light shade is pretty accurate for my skin tone at the moment but I will definitely be buying the darker shade for the summer.  It says it in the name it goes on just like butter, no blotchiness which I sometimes get with bronzers. Kevyn Aucoin - Sculpting Powder - Light I accidentally received this in a BeautyBay order I made. And it was the best accident ever !! I do not thi...

January - Beauty Haul

My plan for January was to save money after spending so much at Christmas time.  As you can see from the title this did not happen.  Although I did not spend as much as I normally would. Violet Voss - Hashtag palette  Now, how beautiful is this?  When I first opened up the box I was unsure whether I would actually use it or not.  I am happy to tell you guys that I LOVE IT !! It is so pigmented and the colours are absolutely GORGEOUS !! This is my first Violet Voss palette so I wasn't sure what her palettes were usually like. Would I buy another Violet Voss palette? 100% yes! Sugarpill - Single Eyeshadow - Buttercupcake At the end of the month, after searching for weeks (maybe even months) I finally found the yellow eyeshadow I have been looking for.  I had never bought a Sugarpill single eyeshadow before, but the pigment is amazing and the colour is just what I was looking for.  This eyeshadow is larger than my most of my other sin...
